My name is Mathias Bonde Jensen, a Computer Science undergraduate at the University of Southern Denmark. This is where I keep my projects, my reading, and a record of what I’m working on.
My main interest is privacy — specifically the theory of anonymity and privacy-preserving data analysis. I’m working through the foundations of differential privacy and the information-theoretic limits of de-anonymisation, and I’m heading toward a bachelor project applying these ideas, with the longer-term goal of research at the intersection of privacy and real-world data.
Most of what I know, I’ve learned by building. I self-host and manage my own home infrastructure — a small fleet of services behind a self-built zero-trust network — which is where the networking, security, and Linux side of my interests gets tested against reality rather than theory. I care about doing these things properly: understanding the system, not just running it.
A love of mathematics runs underneath all of it, and I’m drawn to problems of optimisation — whether that’s a cleaner proof, a tighter bound, or a workflow that wastes less of my time.
